I told you I would post. At the moment I am feeling pretty defeated. Monday I thought I had the hip fixed since I was pain free...that is until I had to drive to Cedar Rapids by myself Monday night for parts. Sitting in the car undid every forward step I made. Last night I could not sleep again because of the pain. 1) I have pain 2) I have not had a good night's sleep since Brian was here on Thursday where I slept all night. I have woke up at 2 a.m. every night since then and cannot get back to sleep. 3) Two days on Miralax and I have gone just barely a little bit. Not a full bowel movement. I have not taken the full doseage yet ...afraid too but with Miralax and fiber pills....still not normal. My calorie burn for Monday was 2241 and yesterday was 2088. As my title says...I am feeling defeated.
One note I am noticed is that I am more hungry lately. The other day I averted a candy bar run in the middle of the afternoon by getting some wheat thins from VJ for 65 calories which was better than a 250 calorie Milky way. So that is good. Any suggestions?
Do not be afraid of taking the full dose. I will give a 37lb kid the "full dose"...so you will be fine. I actually would recommend that to start with you give the full capful twice a day for a couple of days to get things moving. I would be more afraid of pumping myself full of fiber pills (if your body is not used to it...work up slowly on them). They can cause a lot of gassy/bloating etc until your body adjusts.
ReplyDeleteAs far as your pain. I don't know exactly what you are doing for it, but just going here and there to PT or the chiro is probably not going to cut it. I think you probably need some intensive "therapy" several times per week with one or both to try and correct/improve your musculoskeletal issues. And maybe you are doing that...don't know. But I think just trying to treat the pain when it gets out of control is not working. Just my opinion.
If you look at the big picture (which you really need to do), you appear to be doing just fine. Your calorie burn is fine and if you are keeping your calories in check you will continue to lose weight. Think about what you were doing before with your eating, etc. Even without significant exercise this is a huge improvement! Now you just need to do what you need to do to get the musculoskeletal issues under control, get yourself a fighter's attitude and keep plugging away. You are doing fine!!!!!!!!
Yes, I do agree with my dear sister's wisdom. Ana (who weighs 43 lbs) takes a full dose of Miralax every morning. She was doing the two a day full dose for awhile too to get her regulated. If her little body can handle it, so can yours! :) It really won't cause painful cramps like some of the other stuff out there. My kids were able to handle it just fine.
ReplyDeleteBig picture thinking is what you need to focus on - not day to day little details and minor setbacks here and there. You are drastically changing your eating habits to make healthier choices and that will make a huge difference in your body. You are excercising when you can - and doing some good stretching exercises - more than you were doing three weeks ago. As you know, it takes time. But you have already made quite a bit of progress in just those three little weeks! Keep it up and focus on the positives - get rid of that "stinkin' thinkin'" Sing yourself some Zig Ziglar songs! :)
