Off the Wagon

It seems I have gotten off track and rather derailed since Easter.  I have not been as careful and such.   I doubt I will lose any weight at all.   I have been busy and apparently sloppy as well.   I need to get myself together and start tracking daily again.    So we will work to start tracking calories in and calories out on a daily basis.   It is not good for anything to be out of the ordinary for me.

  1. Yes, there has been a noticable change on your blog at least with your attitude, mood, etc. for the past several weeks.
You should be feeling good about what you are accomplishing....not down. This is a long and tiring road and it worries me that you are down already one month into it. Cecil pigletto and I can cheer you on all the time, but only you can decide that this is something you want to do. Once you decide that, I think it is important that you stay accountable to someone...even if it is not me ( i know that i am maybe not as nice and supportive as c.p....sorry, I have a little bit of Jillian in me =). Be strong...you can do anything you want to do, anything you set your mind out to do...don't let life or circumstances or whatever derail you. You will always be busy, there will always be something in the way to hinder you...you just need to make a conscious decision to not let it stop you from your goal.
Would it help to make this blog public? Would it spur you on if you had other readers? Just something to think about.

  2. I agree with my dear sister on all she said. If you open it up to the public, or just invite a select few who you know will be supportive and encouraging. You need all the positive reinforcement you can get. Surround yourself with positive people who can help you keep your positive outlook. Don't invite the negative mindset people in. I also don't know why you are in despair for the last few weeks. Even when you haven't been able to do much due to hip pain, you are STILL LOSING WEIGHT! Maybe having someone like Gail, or another one or two chosen good friends will up the ante a bit. It's easy to become comfortable with just Stacey and me because we're your daughters. Just know that a few more people are reading about what you are doing might help with the extra reinforcement as you make daily life decisions.

Yes, accountability on your food might be good. You'll feel better physically (and mentally) if you are eating healthier and balanced food for your calories than candy bars or only popcorn. Just don't become a food nazi where all food over a calorie count of 50 is evil. Food is not evil.

And yes, ultimately, the choice on all this is yours. As Stacey said, there will be a thousand excuses everyday for doing this or not doing that, but in the end, you are the one who holds all the cards and makes all the decisions about what you really want.
