Well Who Knows?

I thought I was doing better today...I certainly feel better.   But my nutrition still sucks.    For Breakfast I had Crispex Cereal.  I hate cereal.  But I had a bowl of it with some skim milk on it.   For a snack I had yogurt and felt fairly full all morning...at least not light headed.   Then for lunch I had the Vegetarian pizza with  zucchini, artichoke hearts, tomatoes, onions, spinach, etc.  For a p.m. snack some raw almonds.   Then for Supper the No noodle stuff that I wrote to you about.   I had approx 1490 calories.  Burned 2161 and that was with doing mowing....need to get moving more.

Here is the breakdown.   53g of Protein , 121 g of Carbs, 33 g of Fat, Cholestrol 77 mg, Sodium 1028 mg
and again only 9 gms of fiber, Sat. fat was 8 gms and calcium was over 1200 mg.   So there it is.

Suggestions??????

  1. I didn't think your nutrition sucked. Yes, fiber was a bit low, but it's starting to look a little more balanced. And there is really no need to eat cereal that you hate for breakfast. Make yourself an egg white veggie scramble - you can even put it in a whole wheat tortilla, or find a healthy low-fat/low-sugar/whole grain muffin recipe that you like (I think I have a few around here that I like to make), add a piece of fruit along with it and a glass of milk and you have a yummy and still healthy breakfast! Yes, it takes time and is not as convenient as pouring a bowl of cereal. But if you hate cereal, don't torture yourself. Have fun with new ways of cooking and trying out new recipes (like your zucchini lasagna - that sounds good, by the way). Find a couple of things that you enjoy eating for breakfast (and it doesn't have to be "breakfast food") and rotate them so you don't get sick of the same old thing every morning. Make yourself a fruit smoothie with yogurt - another tasty breakfast item I sometimes do when I'm tired of same old thing. You can have all sorts of variations with that one. If you have good ingredients on hand and prepare a little bit in advance, you can have a very delightful breakfast time with something you enjoy and look forward to!

  2. Ah cecil...your brilliance is blowing me away. I agree with all. I think your eating looks much better today. Do you normally feel light headed in the A.M.? That would be NOT normal...even for dieting. Don't do it.
